COVID-19 special circumstances

Updated 5/9/2020

The state has published an updated Campground Guidelines 2.0.  They can be found here if you would like to read it. https://www.nheconomy.com/getmedia/248d9715-b3a0-4466-8be5-8b9132c641f0/20200105-campgrounds(1).pdf

I have edited these rules to reflect the changes by the state. A new update will be posted around May 31st

  • IRC is currently taking reservations for RVs for the month of May from in-state residents.  Once the restrooms open, I will be able to take tent/popup reservations but only at 50% capacity.  This means I will be able to rent out every other site. A maximum of 6-8 guests are permitted.

  • IRC is taking reservations for June – October as normal however as policies change quickly, you will be notified if your reservation will need to be adjusted or canceled due to new guidance.

  • Reservations are required (no off road pull-ups).  Payment will need to be made over the phone or via invoice pay email.  You cannot check in at the office when you arrive.  You may go to your site first and contact the office by phone or you can text that you have arrived.  You may also pull up by the office outside and we can check you in curbside.

  • You will be contacted by IRC to answer covid-19 related health questions prior to arrival and as you arrive.  If anyone in your party is sick with anything, you will not be permitted entry.

  • Please follow social distancing protocols by keeping a minimum of 6’ apart.

  • Wash your hands frequently for a minimum of 20 seconds and use hand sanitizer.

  • Please wear a mask when speaking to others or when entering the store.  Do not enter the store without a mask on.  Please carry your mask with you on walks in case you encounter someone you’d like to talk to.

  • All public bathrooms are closed.  You must use your own facilities.  Once they are open, I will then be able to take tent and pop up reservations.   They will be opening soon but we need to wait until I get enough hand sanitizer.

  • The laundry/sink room is open however only 2 people in the room at a time and you must remain 6’ apart

  • The playground and pool are closed.

  • The rec hall will be opening May 16th.  You must wear a mask inside. No more than 10 people at a time and this is not a place to just hang out.  You can come and grab a book, play a game of pool, that sort of thing.  But please don’t just sit and hang out for hours.  If you have a child or teen, parents must accompany them.  You must remain 6’ apart.  The air hockey table and ping pong are not available.  If you take a book, I will have a box on the floor for book returns.  Please do not put them back on the shelf.  You can also keep the book if you wish.  When you enter the rec hall, please spray your hands before entering and when you leave.

  • The store will be open 9 to 7.  I may close from time to time to run errands or to do exterior work.  You will need to follow the directions and taping on the floor to ensure the 6’ distance.  The store is limited to 6 people at any given time.  You also may text me or call my cell phone.  I can have your order ready or delivered to you.  This can be for groceries, firewood, etc.  I can also service you through the window if you are not comfortable entering the store.  No problem.  The store number is 603-586-7977 and my cell phone number is 603-915-0761. Masks must be worn inside the store.

  • You are limited to up to 8 people at your site.  8 is allowed if you are keeping your 6’ social distance.

  • No gathering at campfires or around the table playing cards or what not.  You can play games, have fires, etc with those who are registered to your site as your immediate family. Look for an app and maybe you can still play cribbage or whatever with your friends virtually without everyone touching cards.

  • Visitors are not permitted at this time.

  • If you have children, please supervise them at all times to ensure they are following the social distancing rules.  They cannot go visiting other sites or other kids in the campground.  This goes for adults too.

  • Per NH Governor: “To promote public health, we are asking individuals from out-of-state who come into NH for non-work related reasons and who stay for an extended periods of time to voluntary self-quarantine.  This applies to individuals who come to NH for an extended stay at a hotel, vacation home, other vacation or home rental, or an extended stay with family and friends.  This does not apply to individuals making same-day trips to NH for work, to purchase essential goods or services, or to check in on a close family member or friend.” – Governor Sununu.  Please respect this.  We are located in a rural area and we only have had 2 confirmed cases of Covid-19 thus far in Coos County.  We do not want to expose our community and put them at risk. If you are coming from out of state, (or even from high Covid-19 area of NH) please bring all supplies with you and do not venture out into our community for day trips, groceries, etc.  Please stay on your site and enjoy yourselves at the campground.  You can go for a walk, ride, fish, or go for a bike ride and that sort of thing.

  • NH currently has a modified stay at home order until May 31st.  So please stay “home” on your site.

  • IRC will be cleaning frequently in accordance with CDC guidelines.
